| What this Hotfix addresses:
This Hotfix addresses the issue of receiving periodic error messages such as “ACT! has experienced an error and must close. Unsaved work will be lost”, when clearing an Activity or closing the application.
Specific Error Notes:
This error generally occurs if you delete the transaction log after adding 20 or more custom fields to your database.
Hotfix Notes:
This hotfix is for ACT! 6.0.3 and later only.
What this Hotfix does
This hotfix replaces the cb.dal file with an updated version. The size of a field in the transaction log has been modified to a shorter length in the old version of the file. This can lead to issues with data not being synchronized correctly. The new file will resolve that issue. You will need to perform a synchronization sending All Records (this time only.) Install the new file and zero out the transaction log. This will restart the synchronization process. If you have not added twenty or more custom fields to your ACT! Database this hotfix is needed.
Note: If one person upgrades the cb.dal – all sync users should also install the hotfix.
